We had such a wonderful experience at Haidilao today, especially because of our server Winnie！！ She was genuinely kind, patient, and attentive throughout the entire meal. Her warm and thoughtful service made us feel very comfortable and well cared for. You can truly tell that she puts her heart into her work. Thank you for making our dining experience so enjoyable—her hard work deserves to be recognized!

On a calm Wednesday afternoon, my partner and I decided to give Haidilao a try. This place has been around for ages and is super well known, but I hadn’t tried it yet, thinking it would be overrated. However, it was actually so good and lived up to the hype. We decided to get three soup bases: Tomato, Sukiyaki, Fish maw and chicken. The tomato was solid, but not my favorite. The sukiyaki was delicious and sweet. Of course we had to get a raw egg to use as a dip after sukiyaki as well, so that helps it out a lot. The real stand out for me was the Fish maw and chicken soup. It was so rich and creamy and left such a nice flavor on all of the ingredients. The vegetables we ordered as well as the additional sauce bar were awesome as well. Though it can get very expensive here, you are paying for great quality food. Hallie was also a great server and really helpful throughout the whole meal.

It’s been a while since I last dined at Haidilao Cupertino, but the experience still stands out clearly in my mind. The ambience feels warm and lively, with a steady buzz of conversation and the soft sound of simmering pots at each table. The space is modern and clean, with organized seating that works well for both small groups and larger gatherings. Staff move with a calm, efficient pace, checking in often without hovering, which keeps the meal feeling relaxed. The sauce bar is a highlight, offering fresh ingredients and plenty of ways to customize your flavors, even if you stick to mild options. Because of health conditions, I can’t handle spicy food, so I usually choose gentle broths and focus on vegetables, noodles, and lighter meats. Haidilao does a good job making those mild bases feel comforting and flavorful without relying on heat. The ingredients arrive fresh and neatly arranged, and the pacing of the meal lets you cook at your own rhythm. The sweet soup at the end is a small but memorable touch, especially after a long, slow hot pot session. Ultimately, I couldn't escape the fate of eating Haidilao in the US… The freshness of the ingredients and the staff's handling techniques were far inferior to those in China. The shrimp paste, in particular, was served in a piping bag and was broken into very small pieces; it ended up feeling almost indistinguishable from the shrimp bits in dumpling filling. However, they did offer complimentary vanilla and matcha ice cream, and the taste and texture were almost identical to McDonald's! My companion accidentally left her wallet at the restaurant, but after contacting the staff, they helped us find it. The restaurant carefully kept it safe and even attached the table number and time note. Thank you so much!

We went here on my son's actual birthday since he wanted Hotpot and we wanted to try out a new place. When we walked in, the host was on a call and kept us waiting for more than 5 minutes. I am not sure why she did not place the person on hold for a minute while she sat us down (thats how long it took). Once we got to our seat, the service went great and our server helped us navigate their menu since it was our first time. The broths had great flavor and the meat was fresh. Me and son got noodles and the freshness of the noodles was amazing. Like many people mentioned, everything adds up on the bill, I would definitely be back though
